Well, we have finally gotten some much needed rain here in Joplin, yay! A little bit ago, John told me to hurry on outside and there was this magnificent rainbow, there was actually 2, the second one is much fainter. I can’t remember the last time I saw such a gorgoeus rainbow, it was an uplifting site indeed. 🙂

So, I have had the good fortune to travel all over the United States from coast to coast when I was growing up, thanks to my parents. I have to say, I am eternally grateful for my travel experiences and hope to have many more in the future. And one of the many great things about our country is the utter diversity, I was amazed at how truly beautiful our country is, from the oceans on each coast, to the grand West, to the architecture in the East. Happy Father’s Day everyone! Today is the day we show appreciation to the Dads in our lives. For those of you that have lost a father, my heart goes out to you. I lost my father a few years ago to cancer and not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. I’m also lucky enough to have an awesome stepDad too which I am very grateful for. He is one of the kindest, nicest people in the whole world and has always been there through the years. What would the world be without great dads? ♥

The 100+ National Parks that usually charge Entrance Frees will be waiving those fees from 4/21-4/29/12, you can check out the entire list by state HERE. *Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise. And did you know that 397 national parks NEVER charge an entrance fee?  Search for parks in your area. I was so fortunate when I was younger that I got to see National Parks all over the United States from coast to coast and I am truly blessed to have had that opportunity. There is nothing like being in the great outdoors, there is just something so exhilarating, freeing and downright spiritual about being out in nature. Speaking for myself, it’s so easy to get wrapped up in everyday life, and all the technology, internet, computers, gadgets and such that comes along with it, so I relish those times when I get to take a break from it all and enjoy what this big ‘ol world has to offer. 🙂
