My Price Cutter Deal 7/8

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

July 8, 2009 by Fritzie

So, this morning I went out to grab a Wednesday newspaper and I made a quick trip to a different Price Cutter than the one I normally go to. Well, let me tell you, I plan on going to this location more often! It was nice and quiet, the prices came up correct on the register and they took my IPs which I had trouble with the last time at the other Price Cutter. I didn’t get much, but what I did get was a good deal!

2 Hiland Cottage Cheese 24 oz. $1.50 ea, used 2 $.55/1 IPs from Hiland’s website (my other store wouldn’t take these)
Land O’ Frost Premium Ham 1 lb. $2.79, used $1.00 Q
Final Cost $3.86

My Walgreens Deal 7/7 & 7/8

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

July 8, 2009 by Fritzie

So, I goofed at Walgreens this week, but it actually turned out in my favor. On my first purchase, I bought 2 items that would potentially be rebates on the same transaction. I bought the Goody headband and the Cover Girl Olay Simply Ageless Foundation at the same time, not thinking, when I should have paid for each separately.  I haven’t tried the Simply Ageless yet and I’m pretty picky about my foundation, so I wasn’t sure if I would be able to use it or not. Fortunately, Cover Girl has a money back guarantee offer so I can try it without worry! So, I ended up returning the foundation and got another one  the next day so I’d have it on a separate receipt. When I returned the foundation, I also returned the $3.00 Register Reward I got for purchasing it. But the manager gave it back to me and said to go ahead and keep it! He said, “I’d just have to throw it away anyway, you might as well use it!” I couldn’t believe my ears, it was such a pleasant surprise! Anyway, this was way too long of an explanation and I hope it made sense LOL. Here’s my deals:

3 2-packs Reach Advanced Design Toothbrushes 3/$9.00=$3.00 RR, used 3 $2.00 Qs
3 pack water pitcher filters $14.99
2 Photo Stickers Marked down $.64
Jane duo eyeshadow Marked down $.87
Jane Blush Marked down to $1.29
Jane deluxe eyeshadow kit Marked down to $1.79
Maybelline lipstick Marked down to $1.89
Goody Ouchless Flex Headband $3.99, used $1.00 Q (catalina for full rebate printed out)
Cover Girl Simply Ageless foundation (returned)
2nd Transaction the next day:
Cover Girl Simply Ageless foundation $15.99=$3.00 RR, used $2.00 Q (satisfaction guaranteed or your money back)
2 Listerine 500 ml & 1 2-pack Reach Advanced design toothbrush=$3.00 RR, used 3 $2.00 Qs
Used $24 in RR (they all expired this week)
Final Cost $21.57 (Plus, I got back $9.00 in Register Rewards)

I dashed in & out of Target today, I was in a bit of a hurry, so I didn’t get too much, but what I did get was a great deal:

4 Renuzit Crystal Elements Marked down to $4.99. Now, this is the great part: They all had $2.00 peelie coupons on them and I used 2 BOGO Qs. Much to my surprise, the cashier let me use all 4 $2.00 Qs and both BOGO Qs. Boy was I happy! 🙂
5 Arm & Hammer trial size toothpaste Marked down $.79, used 5 $.75 Qs
2 Vaseline Aloe trial size lotions $.99, used 2 $1.00 Qs
Jergens Natural Glow $7.99, used $2.00 Q (and there is a satisfaction guaranteed rebate available on this one too)
Target Up & Up Freezer Bags 40 ct. $1.99, used $.50 Target Q
Used $2.14 left on my last Target Gift Card
Final Cost $9.22

I love Aldi’s, it’s almost always short and sweet, you don’t have to worry about coupons! Here’s my deals today:

3 bags of pork rinds $.99 ea (yes, our household is definitely into pork rinds lol)
2 Dozen eggs $.56 ea dozen (cheapest price in town)
Skim Milk Gallon $2.01 (cheapest price in town)
Total $6.39

I usually get produce at Aldis, but it all looked pretty wilty when I went, so I passed on this trip.
