I recently received an email asking if I would share the following information about a coupon swap in Joplin:

Free monthly coupon swap
Where & When:
Last Tuesday night at 6:00pm of each month – June 25th, July 30, and August 27th. Location: Life Change Outreach, 1402 S Michigan Avenue, Joplin (use rear entrance).
About:
“Bring along your spare coupons and each person can sort their coupons into corresponding bins when they arrive and when everyone is done sorting, everyone can take turns going through those bins, taking what coupons you want. Feel free to bring children, there is a game room in the basement of the church for older children and plenty of toys and busy things for younger children. Optional: It would be great to take up a collection of surplus items you have purchased and each month the collection will be given to a local food bank or shelter. Each month we can talk about and take suggestions about which organization we can give them to. If you would like to participate in the donation, pleas bring at least three items of HBA, household or non perishable items to the swap. Also, Expired coupons will be collected for overseas military. They will be sent to a sorority in Springfield who does the sorting and shipping as one of their charity projects.”
