Here’s my Dillons trips from earlier this week. All these deals are from last week’s ad, I haven’t had a chance to stop by yet for this week’s deals. The weather has been so continuously hot the past couple months or so that I have to say, I really have to motivate myself to go out in the heat.

8/1 Trip

So, I went to Dillons today hoping they had restocked, but that just wasn’t the case. They were totally wiped out of several things I had intended to get. But I am by no means complaining, I still walked away with some great deals. I’ll be headed back Monday to see if I can get a few more bargains.

So, I don’t know about you guys, but it seems like the last several times I’ve gone to Target, I’ve run into coupon issues. Have any of you experienced that? It would just be nice if there was like one big nationawide coupon class, or even if one store chain (like Target) trained all of their employees exactly the same way so we could all be on the same page, it would just be so much easier for everyone involved, Target, their employees and shoppers alike! Anyway, just my two cents.

• 10 Sobe 20 oz. $1.00 ea., Used 5 BOGO coupons from HERE and 10 $0.50 Target coupon from HERE (The cashier told me I could only use 5 of the Target coupons since I had used 5 BOGO coupons and I very nicely explained that the $0.50 coupons were Target coupons, not manufacturer’s coupons so he should be able to take them and he just kind of blinked at me. I was getting ready to explain further and whip out my coupon policy if needed and the lady behind me in the line spoke up and said to him “I’d go ahead and take those coupons, she looks like she know’s what she’s talking about,” at which point he proceeded to take all the coupons. I thanked her for her help and was laughing all the way to my car, gotta love the extra help!)

• 2 Johnson & Johnson mini First-Aid Kits (in the trial size section) $0.99 ea., Used $3.00/2 coupon from HERE (now, the cashier didn’t blink twice about this coupon and pushed it on through)
• Final Cost $0.50 and Used a Target Gift Card from a previous deal, so no out of pocket (oop)

I did a bunch of running around today and this was my quickest shopping excursion0just the way I like it short & sweet!

Ok, the Philadelphia Cream Cheeses & me just don’t seem to be working out well together. I ran back to Dillons today to get take advantage of the new Kraft Catalina and to my disappointment, it didn’t print. Has anybody else had trouble with their catalina printing? If yours didn’t print either, you can email Catalina Marketing HERE or call them at (877) 210-1917. I’ve had the catalinas not print several times in the past & I’ve always gotten my catalina in the mail after calling or emailing them with my receipt information.

I’ve also heard that the single serve can of Joint Juice is on sale for $0.99 and there’s 2 coupons that would make this a freebie plus possible overage (YMMV):

• And in other money-saving news for Dillons, I don’t know how long they’ve been doing this, but I confirmed at my store today that they offer a $0.05 credit for each Resusable Shopping Bag you use. That doesn’t sound like a whole lot, but believe me, the savings will add up!

So, I stopped in at 2 different Walgreens today. The deals lately have been pretty bleak and all of my area Walgreeens have been completely out of Celsius for the last 2 weeks, so there’s just not a whole lot going on. That actually suits me fine right now because it has just been so hot lately that I really haven’t been all that motivated to get out anyway. So, the bright spot for me was PENS! Oh, how I love my office supplies, and I was excited about this week’s deal on Pilot Pens. It’s an awesome deal even without the $1.00/1 coupon from HERE.

Update: I returned to Dillons Sunday for a quick trip to pick up 4 last bottles of Kraft Salad Dressing from the Kraft Catalina deal (offer good through today) and I discovered what happened with my Daytona 500 deal. I thought the Kool-Aid Fun Fizzes were part of the promotion and when I went back today, I discovered a Daytona 500 tag was below the Kool-Aid Fun Fizz, but it was for a different Kool-Aid product which I didn’t catch. I took my receipt to customer service and explained what happened and they gave me back $3.14 with no problems. Thanks Dillons, you rock!

My Dillons shopping trip went exceptionally well except for one small wrinkle. This week they’re having their Daytona 500 sale (mix & match 10 participating items, get $3.00 off). Well, somehow, I screwed up (at least I think I did) and didn’t get the $3.00 off. I must have mistaken one of the 10 products as part of the promotion when it wasn’t. I’ll have to check next time I go, so I’ll know what the heck I did. Regardless, it was still a great shopping trip, I was very happy with my total purchase.
