Here is my Aldi shopping trip today, using the wonderful $10/$40 Aldi Coupon I posted about earlier.  I picked up lots of nice buys, even better with the coupon! I had no issues using the coupon at the register and the cashier that checked me out commented on how great it was that so many people were redeeming the coupon and saving extra money. Gotta love those cashiers that root for people saving money! 🙂  I do want to mention that there is a coupon floating around that is says it is good for ALL states. From what I have been told, that one is NOT valid. The only valid coupon (and also verified by Aldi corporate) is the one I posted and that is to be used in the following states only: MO, KS, AR, NE and OK. Anyway, here are all the deals I snagged today, I even found markdowns, yay:

  • 2 packages of Chicken Thighs – Each package was about 4 lbs, $4.49 & $4.69, marked down $2.00 off each package!
  • Appleton Farms Spiral Sliced Ham – $1.49 lb., $12.11
  • 2 Yukon Gold Potatoes 5 lb bags – $0.99 each
  • Multi-Color Bell Peppers 3 pk – $1.49
  • Red Onions 2 lbs – $0.99
  • Roma Tomatoes 20 oz – $1.29
  • Cream Cheese 8 oz – $0.99
  • Instant Coffee – $2.99
  • Paprika – $0.99
  • Margarine 45 oz – $1.89
  • Half & Half – $1.59
  • Instant Tea Drink Mix 12 qt – $1.79
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes 13 oz – $0.99

Besides, I got plenty of other awesome deals. price cutter shopping trips

Here are my Aldi and Price Cutter shopping trips from yesterday. I was finally able to find some decent fresh produce deals at Aldi. The last couple of times I have gone, I had just totally struck out. Maybe it’s the time of year or ? but the produce just hasn’t been looking that spectacular at any of the stores I’ve been to lately (not just Aldi). I was seriously scraping the bottom of the barrel at my house and I was starting to feel deprived! LOL I’ve gotten used to an abundance of various fresh veggies, so I sure can tell when I’m running low. I am thinking it is great time to start experimenting with various squash recipes right now, that’s something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile now. I was also happy to discover that Aldi started stocking their hams again, which we really like, they run anywhere from $0.99 to $1.49 lb. At Price Cutter, I didn’t run across any meat markdowns this time, but still picked up some great buys. Anyway, here are the deals:

Aldi Shopping Trip:

  • 2 packs of Green Bell Peppers 3 ct – $1.29 each
  • Cabbage – $0.99
  • Carrots 2 lbs – $0.99
  • Pinto Beans 32 oz – $1.79
  • Appleton Farm Shank Ham – $9.60 ($0.99 per lb)
  • Vine Tomatoes 24 oz – $0.99
  • Baby Portabella Mushrooms 8 oz – $0.99
  • Yellow Onions 3 lb bag – $0.79
  • Final Cost $19.62

free schick razor

Wow, this week has seriously gone by in a total blur, I cannot believe how quickly time goes by, whew! Here are my shopping trips from earlier this week, my two favorite buys were a free Schick Razor and Free Visine, yay! I tend to be a dash and go kind of shopper, I usually just pick up a few things at various stores here and there while I am already out running other errands. And when I’m with John, the trips are even quicker because he has a seriously short attention span when it comes to shopping. LOL Anyway, I have rounded up all of my trips together in one post:

Aldi Trip:

  • Mini Peppers 16 oz – $1.99
  • Oat Bran Bread 20 oz – $1.29
  • 3 Mac & Cheese – $0.39 each
  • Instant Mashed Potaotes 13 oz – $1.29
  • Margarine 45 oz – $1.89
  • Skim Milk Gallon – $2.89
  • Microwave Popcorn 6 ct – $1.69
  • BBC Chips 10.5 oz- $1.49
  • Cheese Puffs – $0.99
  • French Dressing 16 oz – $1.39
  • Final Cost $17.09

Oh, and by the way, if any of you that read my earlier Finding Fritzie post and wonder if I went completely off the rails on my plan to eat healthier, I haven’t. Almost all of this stuff was for John. While I’ve gotten him to eat more fresh veggies, he still likes all of his other foods as well. 😉 Actually, I plan on addressing overcoming the challenge of eating healthier when others in your household are not in a future post (coming soon!).

dollar-general-108

wal-equate

My latest Aldi, Walgreens, Sam’s Club and Walmart Shopping Trips over the last few days have been quite the mix. I hadn’t been to Walmart in quite a long while and to be honest, it was exhausting. I went on a Monday morning thinking it wouldn’t be that busy, boy I could not have been more wrong. That must have been what everyone else was thinking, because the store was just absolutely packed. I have to admit I’m a pretty distracted shopper to begin with, so the massive crowds didn’t help that one bit. It was kind of a strange trip with an odd mix of items. LOL Anyway, here’s what I picked up along with my other store trips over the weekend.

Walmart Shopping Trip

  • 4 Avocados – Price Matched at $0.29 each
  • 3 Dozen Eggs – Price Matched at $0.99 each
  • 3 Gillette Shave Gel – $1.98 each, Used $6/3 Gillette coupon from the 8/11 RedPlum insert
  • Georgia Pacific Paper 500 Sheets – $2.97, Used $0.50/1 GP coupon from the 7/28 RedPlum insert
  • Pantene Gel – Price Matched at $3.49, Used $1/1 Pantene coupon here (there were $3/2 coupons, but I only needed the 1 item)
  • Equate Pads 3 pk – $0.48, Used $1/1 Equate Brand Coupon (no size restrictions), $0.52 got overage
  • Pepsi Next 2 liter – $1.00, Used Free Pepsi Next coupon (previously available)
  • Glad Wrap 300 sq ft – $2.88, Used Free product home mailer coupon
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies – $1.00 (John had a dream about cookies, so he just “had” to get these) 😉
  • Atkins Bars – Price Matched at $4.99, Used $0.50/1 coupon from here
  • Final Cost $14.84

price cutter shopping

Here is my Price Cutter shopping trip from earlier today. I was hoping to get a chance to walk the aisles a little bit to see if I could spot any unadvertised deals, but it just didn’t work out that way. I basically had just enough time to dash around & pick up a few things and that was about it. It’s been one of those kinda crazy non-stop days, in fact, this day has just blazed by! LOL Anyway, I did notice a nice deal on Rice Select with a high value coupon that recently came available, so I noted that below. My Price Cutter was out of several items I was looking for, but fortunately, they do offer rain-checks. Here is what I picked up today:

  • 2 packages of Fresh Pork – $3.92 & $3.61 and each one was around 2 pounds. Each Package was marked down $1.50 each, plus I used 2 $1/1 Fresh Pork coupons (previously available)
  • 4 Kraft Block Cheese 8 oz – BOGO @ $2.99, so $1.50 each, Used 2 $1/2 Kraft Block Cheese coupons
  • 2 Farmland Bacon 16 oz – BOGO @ $6.25 (instead of $6.39 in the ad), Used $1/2 Farmland Bacon coupon from the 8/25 SmartSource insert
  • 2 Velveeta Cheesy Skillets – BOGO @ $2.89, Used 2 $0.50/1 Velveeta Skillets coupons from here (doubled)
  • Stonyfield Greek Yogurt 5.3 oz – $2.79, Used Free Stonyfield Yogurt home mailer coupon
  • Final Cost $13.26

price cutter shopping

Several of the 32 oz Rice Select products are on sale at Price Cutter this week through 10/1 for $4.29. Rice Select has really awesome rice in my opinion, but it is usually on the super pricey side, so it was nice to see a decent deal like this one!

Rice Select rice products, various 32 oz – $4.29
Use $2/1 Rice Select coupon from here
Final Cost $2.29
