I am super excited about this movie, I just have a feeling it is going to be epic. It arrives in theaters everywhere May 22nd, 2015. Disney’s adventure Tomorrowland stars Academy Award winning George Clooney. Destined to meet, disillusioned former boy-genius Frank (Clooney) and optimistic teen Casey (Britt Robertson) set out on a mission to discover secrets of a mysterious place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” An interesting little fact, Tomorrowland was created by Walt Disney as a section of Disneyland in 1955. It was a time when Americans imagined a more optimistic future. Over the years, those views have shifted quite a bit and thus an idea was born for this fascinating movie.

From Tomorrowland’s director, Brad Bird: “Something has been lost, pessimism has become the only acceptable way to view the future, and I disagree with that. I think there’s something self-fulfilling about it. If that’s what everybody collectively believes, then that’s what will come to be. It engenders passivity: If everybody feels like there’s no point, then they don’t do the myriad of things that could bring us a great future. When I was a kid, even though there were many negative things going on, as there always is and will be, it was acceptable to view the future in a positive light, that life was going to be better, that racism would cease, inequality would be mitigated, and so on. Now there’s this sort of giant cosmic shrug, and I hate that. I just don’t think that we’re on the planet to do that. We have the power to be responsible and go in the other direction.”

If there are two things I absolutely love it is wrapping gifts and just about anything to do with butterflies. So, I thought to myself, why not incorporate the both together? With that in mind, here is a pretty set of Butterfly Free Printable Gift Tags that I created. I fell in love with the beautiful butterfly image and thought it would look perfect on a gift tag. These are in an easy to print PDF format, just print out on cardstock, cut out, tie with a colorful ribbon or metallic cord and you are ready to go! I like to add fun and unique elements to my gift-wrapping with customized gift tags like these. I have even been known to use rick rack in place of ribbon a time or two. 😉 What are some things you like to wrap gifts with other than traditional paper? I’d thought to hear your thoughts and ideas.
