So, after my Aldi and Walgreens shopping trips, I headed on over to Food4Less to pick up a few last items. And that reminds me, when you’re out & about running errands and shop at more than 1 store, how do you go about keeping your perishable items cool? In the hot summer months, I have a cooler in my car. Earlier this year, I received a perishable food order shipment & it came packed with 2 reusable ice packs and these 2 packs keep my cooler and its contents cool for a long time, I love it! Actually, I like these cold packs even better than the food shipment they originally came with. LOL
So, anyway, on to Food4Less. Even though Food4Less is very close by to me, I don’t shop there very frequently. For me, shopping there has been very much hit or miss. Some trips I’ll find a bunch of bargains and then other times, I won’t find a thing. I’ve noticed that a lot of their products are just not that great a deal & are in fact higher than other stores in some cases. I do like their produce department though, I have found some nice deals there many times in the past including some great markdowns! And what they really seem to excel at are limited one-time deep discounted deals. Some are advertised, most are not. If you’ve shopped at Food4Less too, what did you think? Lots of bargains or not? Do you find it worth the time to stop in regularly to hunt for those unadvertised bargains? I stopped for one of their advertised deals this week (the Reser’s Deli Salad) and here’s what else I picked up:

So, while I was out & about Tuesday, I ran into Aldi to grab a few things and I have to say again how easy it is to shop there! Don’t get me wrong, I love shopping at other stores too and picking up awesome deals with coupons. You can spend as little or as much time as you want with coupons and still come out on the other end saving money, so for me, it’s truly a blessing to be able to utilize coupons! But, having said that, you cannot beat the convenience & simplicity of shopping at an Aldi. The stores are smaller, parking is a snap, the cashiers are lightning fast. Just remember to bring your own shopping totes and leave the coupons behind since Aldi doesn’t take coupons. As much as I LOVE coupons (and boy, do I love them!), it is nice to have one store where I can leave my big red binder behind, you know what I mean?! Oh and btw, I just wanted to mention that we do not buy that many snacks for ourselves, John always picks up extra snacks for his mom & stepdad. They just don’t get up to Joplin anymore, so they always have certain items that we pick up for them whenever we shop at Aldi. And they are especially seriously addicted to the Puffed Corn, our Aldi doesn’t stock them all the time and when they do carry them we have to pick up at LEAST 4 bags for them so that they’ll last until the next time they’re in stock again. LOL Anyway, onto my shopping trip. 🙂
Oh and I will definitely be heading back to Aldi in the next few days, because they have some AWESOME produce deals this week!
