Help for Haiti-How We can Help!

So, by now, we are all well aware of the destruction and devastation that has taken place in Haiti from the massive earthquake on 1/12/2010. I’ve been wondering how to help, so I was excited by Money Saving Mom’s call for action. She has organized a “Help for Haiti” drive, encouraging Bloggers and all to do what they can. I encourage you do go to her post HERE and check out all the Bloggers who are reaching out to help.

Ways to help:

  • Give to the Red Cross HERE or Text “Haiti” to 90999 and send a $10.00 donation to the Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.
  • Give to Compassion International HERE
  • Give to Numana HERE, only $.30 provides a meal for one person.

I’m very picky about lotions, particularly for my face. I have tried numerous lotions over the years in every possible price range. During my search, I found a lot of lotions that didn’t work, some that even made my face break out. One of my worst experiences was one that made my face peel (it was an expensive brand too). A lot of facial lotions have ended up in my trash can over the years, but this was certainly not the case here! I was really impressed with Skin MD’s Shielding Lotion. It doesn’t feel like other lotions, it goes on smooth and doesn’t take a large amount to be effective. I’ve used this lotion over the course of a couple weeks and have noticed a difference. My foundation even goes on smoother and looks better as a result. My skin no longer feels dry and scaly, which is even more of a problem for me during the winter months. I am totally sold on this product, I’ll be using it in the future, I’m so glad I got a chance to try it out!

This week, once again, I didn’t do hardly any shopping. I ended up with a stack of Register Rewards that all expired on the same day and I hadn’t been to Walgreens in awhile because I’d been sick for days. Finally not contagious and feeling partially human 😉 I was able to make it to Walgreens yesterday.
