Just wanted to say a big thank you for still posting Summer Fresh match-ups. It looks like Price Cutter bought all the Summer Fresh stores (and the name), so not sure if that means the ads will eventually be the same as Price Cutter . . . – I know you had made mention of doing another store, was just going to put my vote in for Harter House, since it seems Hyvee is already being done by others and no one has ever done Harter House. Once again, thank you for doing such a fantastic job!!

Yes, I saw an article about Price Cutter buying out Summer Fresh stores, I was getting ready to post about it in the next few days. I’m not sure when the transition will take place, but I’ll continue doing the Summer Fresh match-ups in the meantime. Ok, I’ll keep Harter House in mind. And thanks! 🙂

I second Harter House, although I learned the hard way that not all stores run the same ad. Springfield stores are not the same ad as the one closest to me. I went in one time to one in Springfield to get something cheap I’d seen advertised in my ad, and it was a different price. Disappointing!

I asked about this issue with the Springfield store. They said different ownership or something or other and that all the rural stores have 1 ad they all go by and that the 2 springfield stores have their own ad they go by and they are not the same. I also found that the rural Harter House sale ads are way better than the Springfield one as well. Springfield stores will not honor the rural ad and vice versa.
