Now, on to my Save-A-Lot shopping trip! I hadn’t been to my local Save-A-Lot in a long time and wasn’t sure what to expect. I found it to be like most stores, they had some really great prices on some items and other items were a bit higher than I would normally pay. I liked that they offer store coupons on their site. I hope they continue doing so, as this would encourage me to go back more often. My only complaint is the particular location I went to could have been cleaner, it just didn’t have that sparkling appearance a place that sells food needs to have. My checkout experience was great, the cashier was fast, friendly and efficient and I had no problems with any of my coupons. Here’s my deals today:

  • Head of Cabbage $.39 lb. (Cheapest I’ve seen in town, great price!), 3.21 lbs. $1.25
  • Baby Mini Carrots 1 lb. $.88
  • McDaniels Ground Coffee 34.5 oz. $4.00, Used $1.00/1 Coupon (printed off their site)
  • Westcott Vegetable Oil 48 oz. $1.99, Used $1.00/1 Coupon (printed off their site)
  • Breaded Okra 16 oz. $1.29
  • Proctor Silex Vegetable Peeler $1.99
  • Lawry’s Seasoned Salt 16 oz. $2.49, Used $.75/1 Coupon
  • Frozen Breaded Fish Fillets 19 oz. $2.99
  • Ground Chuck Family Pack $1.69 lb. (Great Price!) Around 4 lbs. $7.22
  • Used $5 off $20 Coupon
  • Final Cost $17.58, Used $15.00 Gift Card, so OOP was $2.58

Note: I was contacted by Save-A-Lot and given a $15 gift card to try out this combination of deals for myself.
