My Walgreens Deals 8/4

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

August 7, 2009 by Fritzie

Ok, my Walgreens deals this week confused my poor brain! LOL For the first time ever, I did more than one transaction in one trip. I usually just make separate trips, but when I went in on Tuesday, my favorite cashier told me that she ordered a ton of the Vitamin Shampoo/Conditioners with the RR and she had more than enough and said I should grab a bunch. So, I grabbed 4 of those and I noticed they had a ton of the Gum toothbrushes too, so I got an extra one of those. I made this trip before the $5 off $25 Coupon came out, but that’s ok, still got some fabulous deals! So, here’s how it went on this trip:
1st transaction:
1 Vitamin Shampoo $3.99, got $4.00 RR (I didn’t see any with the “Try Me Free” rebates)
1 Gum Toothbrush set, $3.49, got $3.50 RR (I didn’t get the $1.00 Q in my area)
2 Scotch Donut Magic Tape BOGO ($1.00ea), used 2 $.50 Qs
1 Scotch Mailer $.59, used $.50 Q (not in picture)
1 16oz. bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide (did you know this has a lot of uses? I’ll have to do a post on that soon!) $.35
Can of Chicken of the Sea Sardines $.59
Used $8.00 in previous Register Rewards
Final Cost $2.34 and got $7.50 in Register Rewards
2nd Transaction
1 Vitamin Shampoo $3.99
1 Gum Toothbrush set $3.49
Final Cost $8.07 and got back $7.50 in RRs
3rd Transaction
1 Vitamin Conditioner $3.99
Used $3.50 in RR
Final Cost $.80 and got back $4.00 in RRs
4th Transaction
1 Vitamin Conditioner $3.99
Used $3.50 in RR
Final Cost $.80 and got back $4.00 in RRs

Whew!

My Dillons Deals 8/4 & 8/7

I’m a little behind in getting my store deals up this week, so I just combined same stores together. My first deal at Dillons was on Tuesday, from the previous sales ad which ended on that day 8/4. That was my better trip. Here’s my deals:
Gallon Skim Milk , marked down to $2.12
Half Gallon Chocolate Milk $2.99, used Q “Buy Gallon white milk, get a free half gallon of chocolate milk (I didn’t realize until I got home and check my receipt, but they took off $3.75 off my total instead of $2.99, I’m still scratching my head over that one!)
4 Turkey Hill Teas half gallon $1.00 ea, used 2 $1.00/2 Qs
Crest 6.4 oz. Toothpaste $1.00, used $.50 Q (doubled)
Final Cost $2.66

On today’s trip, I didn’t even use a single coupon. Once I got in the store today, I discovered their Air Conditioner was out (and we are in our typical August weather, mid to upper 90s every day). I talked to the girl in Produce and she said the compressor went out and wouldn’t be fixed until Monday. Boy, I feel sorry for the employees that are stuck working this weekend! I grabbed a few things that were on sale and got out of there as fast as I could. So, here’s my deals today:
Cottage Cheese 16 oz. Marked down to $.89
Just under a pound of fresh green beans $.99 lb.=$.86
Kroger Grated Romano (on closeout) $2.07
Tyson Fresh Chicken Legs on sale for $.99 lb, about 5 lbs. $4.68
Doritos $2.18
Final Cost $10.91

Target is almost always a fun adventure, you never know what you’re going to find there on any given trip and finding items there is sometimes like a fun treasure hunt. It takes patience to find the deals, some days I have more patience than others. Yesterday, I didn’t spend a whole lot of time there. By the time I finally found the Crest Advanced Seals (which was exciting!), I was ready to get out of there. My deals:

3 Olay Quench Moisturizer Trial Size, $.99, used 3 $1.00 Qs
Dove Visibly Smooth Deodorant $3.29, used $1.25/1 Q & $1.00 Target Q
2 Degree Fine Fragrance Deodorants (finally went on sale for $3.29), used 2 $1.25/1 Qs and 2 $2.00 Target Qs
Schick ST3 4 pack disposable Razors, on clearance $4.40, used BOGO Q and 2 $2.00 Qs
Vlasic Ovals Pickles on clearance $1.48
Target 200 ft. Plastic Wrap $1.77
All Small & Mighty Trial size $1.02, used 2 $1.00 Qs
3 Crest White Advanced Seal Trial 2-Pack $4.99, used 3 $5.00 Qs (these suckers took me forever to find, but they were in plain sight the whole time! LOL They ended up being on an endcap with other like products) The great thing about these trial packs, is they all came with $7.00 coupons (any size), so I can turn around and get more on my next trip if they have any left.
Final Cost $5.08

Free $100 Bushnell Wireless Weather Forecasters & My Walmart Deals 7/28

Expired

Bushnell has a fantastic rebate right now good through 8/15/09 for $50 off their 5 or 7 day Wireless Weather Forecaster here and you can see more info about them HERE. The fantastic news is that Walmart has the 5 day forecasters marked down! They were $100, now they are on clearance for $50 making them FREE. Even better, you can buy up to 3 of these and get all your money back for EACH one (minus tax). That’s 3 awesome Christmas presents right there! After quite the treasure hunt, I finally found the forecasters at my Walmart in the tools section, in the same aisle with the signs like “No Trespassing” and house numbers you nail on your house. Go figure! When I first got to Walmart today, I had asked a stocker in the camping section and she had no idea and didn’t think they had them. When I finally found them, I came back and told her where I had found them in case someone else came looking for them. Then I gave her an extra rebate form I had with me and she was tickled, she said she was going to get one after work. 🙂

So, my Walmart deals today was extra special:
Natures Source Bathroom Cleaner $2.97, used FREE Coupon
White Cloud Toilet Paper 4 pk big rolls $2.00, used $1.00 Q
2 Bushnell Wireless Weather Forecasters, on clearance $50 ea, will use rebate on both
Final Cost $109.14, will be $9.14 after rebates!

TIP #1: Be sure to take the rebate form when you go to Walmart to make sure you get the right model for the rebate (the UPC numbers are listed on the rebate form)
TIP #2: Be sure to copy your receipts/UPC codes/filled out rebate form and keep for your records

Aldi’s was quick and easy yesterday, not too many people were there for a change. And as much as I love my coupons, it’s refreshing to go into a store without my massive coupon binder, since Aldi doesn’t take coupons. Here’s my deals:

2 1 dozen large eggs $.58 ea (still the cheapest in town)
Pork rinds (yes, someone on our household is most definitely addicted to pork rinds, I pick them up every time I go to Aldi’s lol) $.99
Carrots 2 lb. bag $.99
Skim Milk Gallon $2.11
Half & Half 32 oz. $1.99
Final Cost $7.59
