I think I suffered from total Walgreens burnout from all my transactions last week, there just wasn’t a lot to interest me this week. And what I did want, they were completely wiped out of. I was disappointed that during the entire time that Walgreens had the Huggies Wipes $2.00 Back to School Coupon, they were wiped out every single time-no pun intended 😉 . I even went to the stores right after they had stocked and still nothing. During the whole month, I managed to get 1 box. Oh well, there will always be another deal! My few deals today:

L’oreal Men’s Face Wash was $6.99, marked down to $1.79. Used $1.00/1 Q
Cute little yard ornament on clearance for $.49
Pack of seeds $.16
Sea Breeze Toner (I got the one that had 60% more in it, sweet!) $3.49, used $1.00 Walgreens Back to School Q & $1.00 Q from All You Magazine
Nature’s Source Cleaner $3.99, used Free Q
Dove Chocolate bar $.89, used Free Q
Final Cost $3.14 (and my math was a little off, so I wasn’t able to use a Register Reward to get the total down further like I had planned

I don’t normally go to Walgreens on a Sunday, but I just discovered yesterday that Zantac had a $5.00 Rebate (to go along with the $5.00 Coupon), but that the Zantac had to be purchased by today. I tried getting one yesterday, but ended up with a non-coupon friendly cashier. Not one to give up (my dad called it being hard-headed LOL), I went back today in hopes of better luck. And better luck I had! No problems today, and I’ve already filled out my rebate and it will be going off in the mail tomorrow (there’s still time, to get your coupon & rebate, go HERE). My deals today:

1 Sunday Newspaper (with 2 Coupon Inserts) $1.75
2 Listerine Total Care 16.9 oz. $4.00 ea, used 2 $2.00 Qs (I was so happy about this one, my 2 coupons expired today and the Total Care is my favorite!) and got back $3.00 in RR
1 Benadryl Itch Relief to Go $3.99, used $1.00 Q
1 Sudafed PE $4.99 18 ct., used $2.00 Q, got back $5.00 RR for buying both the Sudafed and the Benadryl
Zantac 8 ct. $4.99, used $5.00 Q (and will submit the $5.00 rebate)
Used $9.00 in previous RRs
Final Cost $4.05 and got back $8.00 in Register Rewards!

Ok, I couldn’t resist one last trip to Walgreens this week. LOL Their truck came in today and I was hoping to get a few things that had been out of stock this week and take advantage of the $5 off $25 RR. I did get a couple things, but not all, but that’s ok! I also didn’t have my coupon-friendly cashier today and wasn’t able to use my $5.00 Zantac item because the cashier said it was because the item was $4.99. Sighhhhhh. Even the Store Manager has let me use coupons there before that are like that, but he wasn’t there today and it just wasn’t worth debating about. There will always be another deal! 🙂 Anyway, here’s my final deal of the week (WHEW!)

2 Bounty 6-pack Big Rolls $9.99 ea ($6.49 ea after Walgreens coupon)-Bounty, especially the regular Bounty is something that is hard to get a good deal on, so I was happy to have these, they had been OOS (out of stock) all week
Mazola Extra Virgin Olive Oil 17 oz. $3.99 (good price )
Yet 1 more Soft Soap Nutri Serum Body Wash $3.99, got back $4.00 RR
Clear Pencil Box $.49 (very nice)
Wags Activity Book $.99 (will probably use more of these coupons next week with the Listerine deal)
Used $12.00 in RRs
Final Cost $12.08 and got back $9.00 in Register Rewards
(includes the $5.00 RR for spending $25+)

My ELF Deal: $87.95 Cosmetics for $2.16!!!

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

August 22, 2009 by Fritzie

I got my ELF order in today, and boy, what an awesome deal that was!!!! I ordered a lot of the brushes, I’ve heard they are really nice. I put in my order when the Studio line was 75% off and I got Free shipping too! Here’s a breakdown of how I got this great deal:
I ordered 27 items (I also got a free lip gloss for referring 3 people), the original total was $87.95 including shipping.
After the Coupon Code (no longer available), my total was $20.25
AND, if you ordered over $20, you either got a free subscription to Marie Claire OR you could get a rebate back of $9.99. I chose the rebate and sent that in the day after I ordered.
AND I used Bing Cashback when I ordered and got back 10%, $8.10. I’ve never tried this before, so I’m not positive it will work, it still says “Pending”, so we’ll see.
$81.00 (27 items)
$6.95 (Shipping)
-$60.75 (coupon code)
-$6.95 (coupon code)
-$8.10 Bing Cashback discount (Pending)
-$9.99 ELF Rebate (Pending)
FINAL COST $2.16

These kinds of deals don’t come along every day, but I sure enjoy them when they do. Even if either of the pending discounts don’t come through for some reason (they should though), it’s still a great deal!

I only used 3 coupons while I was at Walmart today. While they have great prices on some things, I find myself going to other stores more often to utilize coupons better (like Dillons doubles coupons and Target has their own coupons so you can stack them with other coupons). My deals today:

Great Value 2% Milk Gallon $2.33
Head Lettuce $.89
3 Medium Dozen Eggs $.48 ea (cheapest I’ve seen, even beat Aldi’s price)
Van De Kamps 10 pack Battered Fish Fillets $4.56, used $3.00 Coupon
Ronzoni Smart Taste Spaghetti $1.50, used FREE Coupon
Butterball Fried Turkey Lunchmeat 8 oz. $2.50, used $1.00 Q (this is really good!)
2 Great Value Taco Seasonings $.42 ea
Great Value Half & Half Quart $1.82
Hormel Beef Tamales $1.26
Great Value Chili No Beans $1.34
Final Cost $15.17

I had quite the Walgreens adventure this week, my brain started hurting after my 2nd trip LOL! They are having their special 4 day sale with the $5 Register Reward with a $25 purchase through tomorrow, so I ended up going to 2 Walgreens locations yesterday. And my first Walgreens experience earlier in the week was CrAzY fun! I found a mistake on my 2nd Walgreens trip (not sure if it was them or me, pretty sure it was me though LOL), so I’ll be going back tomorrow.

This week so far I’ve also gotten 25 4×6 prints for $.25, a Free 8×10 photo and I’ll be picking up 20 Free 4×6 prints and a free Scrapbook page tomorrow. Lots of awesome photo deals this week. Thanks Walgreens!

Trip #1 8/18
So, I get to my Walgreens with the sole purpose of using a Register Reward that expired on that day. When I got there, my favorite cashier told me to PLEASE buy several of the Softsoaps (that were free with the RRs) because they had over-ordered and needed to sell them. So, of course, I said SURE! (Note that 1 of the Body Washes is not pictured, I gave 1 away before I got home and I’ll be giving the rest away shortly) Here’s how this trip went:
1st Transaction
1 Softsoap Nutri Serum Body Wash $3.99
1 hairclip pair on clearance $.20
Used 1 $4.00 RR
Final Cost $.52 & got back $4.00 RR
2nd Transaction
1 Softsoap $3.99
1 hairclip pair on clearance $.20
Used 1 $4.00 RR
Final Cost $.52 & got back $4.00 RR
3rd Transaction
1 Softsoap $3.99
Used 1 $3.00 RR
Final Cost $1.30 & got back $4.00 RR
4th Transaction
1 Softsoap $3.99
Used 1 $3.00 RR
Final Cost $1.30 & got back $4.00 RR
5th thru 8th Transaction
Each Softsoap $3.99
Final Cost $4.30 ea & Got back $4.00 RR on each one

So, the end result of all these transaction was:
$11.00 in Register Rewards Spent
$20.84 Total Spent
And got back $32.00 in Register Rewards!

This was one of those trips where I should have been paying closer attention. Sometimes I just get to chatting & I distract myself LOL. I purchased 3 of the mailers that were on sale for $.49 each and this was one of those times I didn’t check my receipt. When I got home, I checked and saw that I was charged $1.50 for EACH mailer. I’m not sure if I just picked up the wrong mailers or I was charged incorrectly, so I’ll take the receipt and mailers back to the store with me tomorrow and see if I can get that fixed (I’m guessing I picked up the wrong mailers).

Trip #2 8/20
3 Scotch Mailers $1.50 ea (should have been $.49 ea, pretty sure my error), used 3 $.50 Qs
4 Velveeta Shells Cups $1.00 ea, used 1 Get 2 Cups Free Q, 1 BOGO Q, 1 $.55/1 Q, 1 $1.00/4 Walgreens Q, got back $1.00 RR
3 Bic Highlighters 5-packs $.39 ea, used $1.00/2 Q
2 Jars of Green Olives $.99 ea, used $1.00/2 Q
2 Listerine Kids Smart Rinse $4.89 ea, used BOGO Q, $1.00 Q, $1.00 2x Walgreens Q from activity booklet, got back $3.00 RR
Conair Professional Brush $2.99, got back $2.00 RR
2 Neosporin Ointments .5 oz. (came with free traveling case) $4.99 ea, used 2 $1.00 Qs, $2.00 2x Walgreens Q from activity booklet, got back $4.00 RR
Walgreens Activity Booklet (found by the Pharmacy) $.99
Softsoap Body Wash $3.99, got back $4.00 RR
Final Cost $21.43, got back $19.00 in Register Rewards (this includes the $5.00 RR for spending more than $25, they count the total before coupons)
Plus, I should be able to get back a refund of around $3.00 once the mailer issue is fixed.
Update: I went back Saturday and got my money back for the mailer mistake ($3.27), so my adjusted total for the above trip is $18.16 and got back $19.00 in Register Rewards

Trip #3 8/20
Ok, my last trip was much more straightforward:
3 Diet 7-Up 12oz/12pk cans 3/$11.00, got back $3.00 RR
2 jars of Green Olives $.99 ea, used $1.00/2 Q
3 Big Rolls Toilet Paper $.49 ea
Scotch Mailer $.49, used $.50 Q
Glade 2 oz. Fine Fragrance Candle $3.29, used Free Coupon (I found this on an endcap)
Softsoap Body Wash $3.99, got back $4.00 RR
Huggies Wipes $2.79, used $.75 Q & $2.00 Q from Walgreens Back to School booklet
Used $10.00 in RRs
Final Cost $7.54, plus got back $12.00 in Register Rewards (Includes the $5.00 RR)
