Last week, it was announced in the newspapers including the the News-Leader that Price Cutter has bought out the Summer Fresh stores (thanks for the link to the article Jonathan!). According to the article, “Price Cutter will take over all 10 Summer Fresh stores, which include eight Summer Fresh Supermarkets and two Save-A-Lot stores. Summer Fresh had been a family-owned company.”
There had been no information when the transition would take place, but when I headed over to Summer Fresh’s site this week, it’s apparent the transition has now taken place because Summer Fresh’s weekly ad is identical to the Price Cutter ad this week. I already do the Price Cutter ad every week, so Summer Fresh shoppers can check out my Price Cutter ad to find their deals for the week.
