Bushnell has a fantastic rebate right now good through 8/15/09 for $50 off their 5 or 7 day Wireless Weather Forecaster here and you can see more info about them HERE. The fantastic news is that Walmart has the 5 day forecasters marked down! They were $100, now they are on clearance for $50 making them FREE. Even better, you can buy up to 3 of these and get all your money back for EACH one (minus tax). That’s 3 awesome Christmas presents right there! After quite the treasure hunt, I finally found the forecasters at my Walmart in the tools section, in the same aisle with the signs like “No Trespassing” and house numbers you nail on your house. Go figure! When I first got to Walmart today, I had asked a stocker in the camping section and she had no idea and didn’t think they had them. When I finally found them, I came back and told her where I had found them in case someone else came looking for them. Then I gave her an extra rebate form I had with me and she was tickled, she said she was going to get one after work. 🙂

TIP #1: Be sure to take the rebate form when you go to Walmart to make sure you get the right model for the rebate (the UPC numbers are listed on the rebate form)

I’ll be doing a post of Price Cutter’s very best deals every week for all of you in Missouri who have one of these stores. I like them because they double coupons up to $.50 (they won’t double coupons that state “do not double”) and they generally have good sales. On the down side, you have to carefully scrutinize your receipt during and after purchase because they often have their prices wrong. Click on the logo above to check out their website for weekly ads & store locator. Note that any FREE items after coupons will be highlighted in green.

Personally, their sales look pretty unimpressive this week, especially their lack of meat sales. I’ll be skipping Price Cutter again this week.

Keep an eye out for a $10.00 rebate off any Meat or Seafood purchase (total must exceed $10.00 before taxes). 1 per household, expires 8/2. This is a Mail-In Rebate, in my store, I found them in the liquor section on a tearpad in a beer display (no liquor purchase required with this rebate).

I’d like to take a moment to remember my dad, who passed away 2 years ago on August 1st after a battle of cancer.  He was a strong, intelligent man and I still miss him every day. I had the good fortune to do a lot of traveling around the United States with my parents when I was a kid and the first picture is of my dad & me in the late 1980’s. He collected t-shirts with quirky sayings as we journeyed around the country, he’s wearing one of his favorites in the 2nd picture “Beam me up Scotty, there’s no intelligent life down here.”
