Closed! Silk for Milk 10-Day Challenge, $1.25/1 Coupon & Giveaway!

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

April 29, 2011 by Fritzie

I’d like to remind everyone about Silk’s 10-Day Silk-for-Milk Challenge. I like that they offer a variety of different ways to swap Silk for milk including diet friendly desserts, swaps for busy families, a yummy pina colada & more! Silk has no cholesterol, no saturated fat and they offer 13 delicious varieties under 100 calories. My personal favorite is Silk PureAlmond Dark Chocolate, it is so delightfully good, I just love it warmed up. I recently had a chance to try Silk’s PureCoconut and I was very impressed with the taste. I have to say, I’ve never been much of a milk drinker and I easily prefer the taste of the PureCoconut over milk. To me, it has a lighter taste, it didn’t have any after-taste & it was very refreshing. I thought the hard-sell in our household would be my dh. He is a die-hard milk drinker, seriously, I have never known any adult that drinks more milk than him. I asked him to try out the PureCoconut & while he grumbled about how it wasn’t the same as milk, he drank the entire carton so fast that I was barely able get even half a glass to try it out for myself. So, I’d say this one is a winner! Lol

Want a coupon? Head on over HERE and you can print a coupon for $0.75 off Silk, OR register as a new user & agree to answer a quick survey & bump up your coupon to $1.25! Closed! Walgreens Infant Care Booklet Giveaway (5 Winners)

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

April 1, 2011 by Fritzie

Great news! Thanks to a very generous reader of mine, I have 5 Walgreens Infant Care Booklets to give away! I know these booklets have been really hard to find in some areas so I am delighted to be able to offer these to my wonderful readers! 😀

If you’re not familiar with these booklets, they contain several high value infant care Walgreens store coupons and they don’t expire until 12/30/11. And here’s a tip for you: When I use one of the coupons out of the booklet, I don’t ever clip the coupon. I keep the coupon booklet intact, turn the page to the coupon being used and I hold out the booklet for the coupon to be scanned. That way, I get to keep the coupons for multiple uses. I’ve never had any problems doing this yet, the cashier has never asked for the coupon, so far so good! And for those of you that are lucky enough to have a Walgreens that doesn’t require to see the coupon, I’ve posted the coupon codes.  Here’s a list of the coupons:

  • $2.00 off Children’s or Infants’ Advil Suspension 0.5 or 4 oz. (coupon code 5520)
  • $2.00 off Triple Paste Medicated Ointment for Diaper Rash (5522)
  • $2.00 off W Brand Diapers Jumbo Pack (2844)
  • $2.00 off any Enfamil Infant Formula Powder 22.2 oz. or larger (5516)
  • $2.00 off one Similac Advance or Sensitive 23.2 oz. (5517)
  • $2.00 off any two Playtex Infant products (5518)
  • $2.00 off any one Huggies Diapers Big Pack or Wipes 184 or 216 ct. (5519)
  • $2.00 off any one Pampers Cruisers, Swaddlers or Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers (Big Packs or Jumbo Packs) (5521)

Onto the Giveaway! 5 Winners will each win (1) one Walgreens Infant Care Booklet.

  • Required Entry: Leave a comment below my post here (comments left on Facebook won’t count).
  • Extra Entry: “Like” Frugal Fritzie on Facebook and leave a comment letting me know.

This giveaway concludes on Sunday 4/3/11 at 11:59pm Central time. Winners will be selected by Random.org. Winners have 24 hours to respond, if there is no response, I will randomly select another winner(s). Good luck! 🙂

Thanks so much to Michelle for your generosity, you rock!

Bob Evans Fit From the Farm Review

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

January 23, 2011 by Fritzie

If you’re looking for more healthy choices when eating out, then you might want to consider Bob Evans. They recently launched their new “Fit From the Farm” line. Every meal on Bob Evans Fit from the Farm menu is 650 calories or less and is designed specifically by Bob Evans’ Fresh-Thinking Chefs so that you could – if you so desired – eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at a Bob Evans Restaurant and still stay safely within a government recommended 2,000 calorie-per-day diet. Check out their Fit from the Farm menu HERE. I got a chance to try out a selection from their menu and I went for their Veggie Omelet. This omelet included fresh baby spinach and onions & the eggs were made with Bob Evans Egg Lites, their no-cholesterol egg blend, then topped with diced tomatoes. It also came with a fresh fruit dish and a slice of wheat toast with jelly. The omelet was quite yummy and the meal as a whole was a very satisfying breakfast. I would select this again and was surprised that the whole meal was less than 300 calories. It was nice to go out to eat for breakfast and not feel guilty about it the rest of the day. 😉 Be sure to check out their Facebook page HERE and sign up to get their emails and you’ll have access to their latest promotions & coupons.

Note: I received a Fit From the Farm Kit which included a free meal in order to do the review. As always, opinions are 100% my own.

Community on NBC “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas” Review

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

December 9, 2010 by Fritzie

As a big “Community” fan (on NBC Thursday nights 8:00pm Est.), when I was invited to watch an advance viewing of tonight’s special Stop Motion Christmas special episode, I jumped at the chance.

About tonight’s episode “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas”: When Abed (Danny Pudi) wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) become growingly concerned about Abed’s mental health and enlist the help of Professor Duncan (John Oliver). The group undergoes hypnosis to explore Abed’s winter wonderland and soon unravel the truth behind Abed’s madness. Chevy Chase, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, and Ken Jeong also star.

This episode did not disappoint, I loved it! It was wacky & amazing at the same time just like the show itself. Be sure to tune in tonight 12/9 on NBC at 8:00pm Est. And if you’re a “Community” fan like I am, be sure to check out their Facebook Page and follow them on Twitter.

Note: I was contacted by One2One Network to do a review of tonight’s Community Episode. Although I was not compensated in any way, I was entered into their giveaway for a chance to win prizes. As always, my opinions are 100% my own.

Waverly Collection Tableware by Hefty Review & Coupons

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

December 3, 2010 by Fritzie

Hefty has launched a new line of Tableware called “Waverly Collection Tableware by Hefty.” The collection includes plates, cups, and napkins. The Waverly Collection will be exclusive to major Wal-Mart stores, making them a more durable and price-friendly alternative to the patterned disposable tableware found in party specialty stores. I had a chance to check out the complete collection for myself & I love the whole set! I love that this collection comes from a high quality brand such as Hefty, so the tableware itself is all very durable. The cups are well-made, the napkins are substantial (nice & thick) and the plates are sturdy. And the collection itself is just gorgeous. If you’re looking for disposable tableware for the holidays, then this collection definitely fits the bill! And too help with your holiday budget, there’s two different coupons currently available (if you think you’ll use these coupons, I’d go ahead & print them now while they’re still available).

On Facebook (click on the “Like” button to access the coupon):

  • Buy any two Waverly Collection items, get one Free (and while you’re there, don’t forget to enter their Sweepstakes)

On Coupons.com:

  • $1.50 off any two Waverly Collection items (if you don’t see it, leave the zipcode blank, to access it quickly, click on the “Household” category. And while you’re there, don’t forget to print a coupon for $1.00 off Hefty Waste Bags)

Note: I was given the Waverly Collection from Hefty in order to the review. As always, opinions are 100% my own.

Norah Jones “Featuring” New Album Review

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

November 22, 2010 by Fritzie

Norah Jones’ new album “Featuring” was recently released and I got a chance to listen to it. The tracks:

1. Love Me – The Little Willies
2. Virginia Moon – The Foo Fighters featuring Norah Jones
3. Turn Them – Sean Bones featuring Norah Jones
4. Baby It’s Cold Outside – Willie Nelson featuring Norah Jones
5. Bull Rider – Norah Jones and Sasha Dobson
6. Ruler Of My Heart – Dirty Dozen Brass Band featuring Norah Jones
7. The Best Part – El Madmo
8. Take Off Your Cool – OutKast featuring Norah Jones
9. Life Is Better – Q-Tip featuring Norah Jones
10. Soon The New Day – Talib Kweli featuring Norah Jones
11. Little Lou, Prophet Jack, Ugly John – Belle & Sebastian featuring Norah Jones
12. Here We Go Again – Ray Charles featuring Norah Jones
13. Loretta – Norah Jones featuring Gillian Welch and David Rawlings
14. Dear John – Ryan Adams featuring Norah Jones
15. Creepin’ In – Norah Jones featuring Dolly Parton
16. Court & Spark – Herbie Hancock featuring Norah Jones
17. More Than This – Charlie Hunter featuring Norah Jones
18. Blue Bayou – Norah Jones featuring M. Ward

You can listen to samples of each song if you like HERE. I really liked the album, especially the foot tapping “Creepin’ In” with Dolly Parton. I enjoyed the diversity of this album with a huge variety of not only artists, but song selection as well. I would say there’s a song on here for everybody. And no matter what Norah sings, there’s just something about her voice that I just love! And apparently a lot of people feel the same way because she has sold 40 million albums and won 9 Grammys in less than 10 years, that’s a pretty spectacular!

Note: A copy of the album was provided to me by One2One Network in order to do the review. As always, my opinions are 100% my own.
