Rayovac Batteries $1.00/1 Printable Coupon

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

April 19, 2010 by Fritzie

Rayovac has a coupon available again on their Facebook page HERE for $1.00 off any pack of Rayovac Alkaline Batteries. I was able to print 2 and they don’t expire until 6/17/10, so plenty of time to use this one. Watch for the 2 packs of AAs or AAAs & 1 pack of 9 volt alkaline batteries for just $1.00 at Walmart or Target (look in the Dollar Spot near the front of the store).

Thanks Money Saving Mom!

Closed! Red Gold Tomatoes Prize Pack Tin Giveaway

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

April 17, 2010 by Fritzie

I’m already a big fan of Red Gold products, so when I was contacted by them asking if I wanted to post a giveaway, I jumped at the chance. One of my favorite people in the world introduced me to Red Gold Tomatoes several months ago. She is into gardening big time and even cans her own produce, including tomatoes. She told me that when she runs out of her own tomatoes, the only kind of canned tomatoes she’ll buy is Red Gold. So, I tried them for myself and they are great. In the past, I had just bought whatever was on sale or generic canned tomatoes, but not anymore. And I recently tried their tomato juice and I just have to say YUM! 🙂

Another thing I really like about Red Gold is they frequently offer coupons on their site HERE. They also have fun promotions from time to time. They have a great one coming up, go HERE starting April 19th and you can sign up to get a FREE Red Gold Tote Bag. Just enter 1 UPC code from a can of Red Gold tomatoes and you’ll be able to sign up for your free bag. I’ll post a reminder on the 19th when this starts.

  • Check out their Facebook page HERE (gotta love their mascot)

Now for the fun part! 1 lucky winner will receive a Red Gold Tomatoes Prize Pack Tin filled with all sorts of fun goodies including Cans of Red Gold tomatoes, cookbooks, magnets and more (U.S. residents only). The tin itself is really neat, it’s designed to look like a giant can of Red Gold Tomatoes!

Closed! Green Giant Seeds of Change Prize Pack Earth Day Giveaway

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

April 17, 2010 by Fritzie

The 40th anniversary of Earth Day is right around the corner on April 22nd and for Green Giant, it’s all about trying to live up to the name by working every day to care for the land, the people who grow our vegetables and the families who share our vegetables at their tables. Throughout its century-long history, Green Giant has worked to reduce its environmental footprint through many measures including:

  • Reducing the amount of land and water needed to grow vegetables
  • Packing vegetables in smaller, lighter cans, so it takes less fuel to deliver them to supermarket shelves
  • Utilizing traditional seed breeding methods over the last 35 years to double the amount of sweet corn grown on an acre of land
  • Teaming up with growers to install a more efficient irrigation system that can reduce water use by more than a million gallons a year;
  • Switching to more earth-friendly paperboard to package frozen vegetables, saving approximately 54,000 trees annually in the process.

Green Giant is now celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day by giving $200,000 to The Nature Conservancy to help fund an innovative project that will encourage greener farming practices to repair and protect a natural treasure – the Root River, one of Minnesota´s (home to Green Giant) best trout streams. Learn more about Green Giant´s sustainability program or make a donation to The Nature Conservancy, visit HERE during the month of April.

Personally, I didn’t realize that Green Giant took all these “green” steps and I think that’s great. I’ve always loved Green Giant products and this makes me like them all the more. And I love that they are making such a generous donation to The Nature Conservancy, they are such a worthy cause, I’ve donated to them myself several times over the last few years.

Now for the fun part! 1 lucky winner will receive a “Seeds of Change” prize pack that includes one VIP coupon valid for a free package of Green Giant frozen vegetables, in addition to a mini herb garden, an eco-friendly bamboo utensil set, and a 100% recyclable grocery tote (U.S. residents only).

Required Entry, Leave a Comment: What changes has you and/or family made (or plan to make) in an effort to leave less of a carbon footprint?

Closed! Silk Pure Almond All Natural Almondmilk Review & Giveaway

This post may contain affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

April 17, 2010 by Fritzie

I got the opportunity to try out Silk Pure Almond Milk and I was not disappointed! I have to admit, I am not a big milk person, but I do like Silk’s products and I LOVE almonds. Almonds have a lot of great healthy benefits, so I was anxious to try this milk. I tried the Silk Pure Almond Vanilla and I really enjoyed it. It was rich and creamy with no aftertaste. I wondered if it would have a chalky taste, but it was as smooth as could be. For me, I would drink this as a special treat.

About Silk Pure Almond:

Each glass provides an excellent source of natural antioxidants, and as much calcium and vitamin D as dairy milk, with absolutely no cholesterol, saturated fat, dairy or soy. A serving of Silk Pure Almond Original almondmilk is only 60 calories & Vanilla is just 90 calories.

What makes almondmilk Silk Pure Almond so healthy? For starters, it’s the almonds. Almonds are recognized by health professionals as a nutritious addition to a healthy diet. A serving of almonds provides an excellent source of vitamin E (a natural antioxidant), and a good source of protein and fiber. In fact, almonds are higher in protein and fiber than any other tree nut. Plus, they’re naturally low in saturated fat and cholesterol-free. Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that has been studied for its role in supporting normal heart and brain function, as well as promoting a healthy complexion. Each serving of Silk Pure Almond provides 50% of the recommended daily value of this essential nutrient.
